A Faster Path to Healing, Tailored Just for You

If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or eager for faster change, therapy intensives may be the breakthrough you’ve been looking for.

Traditional weekly or biweekly therapy can be effective—but sometimes progress feels slow, especially when you’re navigating complex or long-standing issues. Therapy intensives offer an accelerated, concentrated approach to healing, helping you experience deep transformation in a shorter amount of time.

WHAT IS AN INTENSIVE?

An Intensive is a personalized, focused therapy experience that takes place over a half day, full day, or multiple days—depending on your goals and needs. It condenses what could be months of therapy into a shorter, more powerfully concentrated time. You’ll have extended time to dive into your story, process trauma, and begin reshaping the emotional and neurological patterns that keep you stuck.

WHY CHOOSE AN INTENSIVE OVER THERAPY?

  • Faster results – Reach therapeutic goals in days instead of weeks or months
  • More continuity – No need to “start and stop” each week; life events not de-railing work; stay in the flow of deep work
  • Highly personalized – Sessions are tailored specifically to what you want to address and change
  • Efficient use of time – Especially helpful for busy professionals, parents, college students, or those traveling from out of town
  • Reduces burnout – Weekly therapy over time can feel draining or slow—intensives give you space to go deeper and gain momentum

WHAT CAN YOU WORK ON IN AN INTENSIVE?

Intensives are ideal for a wide range of concerns and goals- just to name a few:

  • Single-incident trauma (accidents, medical trauma, assault, loss, etc.)
  • Focused and chosen pieces of complex or developmental trauma
  • Negative core beliefs (“I’m not good enough,” “I’m unsafe,” “I can’t trust anyone”)
  • Childhood emotional wounds
  • Anxiety and panic
  • Grief and loss
  • Spiritual wounding, religious, ministry wounds & trauma experienced by people in ministry
  • Major life transitions or blocks
  • Self-esteem and self-worth challenges

Even if you’ve tried therapy before or are currently in therapy, an Intensive can jumpstart or deepen your healing journey.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Every therapy intensive includes:

  • A pre-intensive consultation and personalized treatment plan which might include a workbook if desired and applicable to intensive goals
  • Half-day (3-4 hours), full-day (6-8 hours), or multi-day options
  • EMDR, Brainspotting and other integrative trauma-informed modalities
  • Post-intensive follow-up 2-3 wks later to check work, provide support and recommendations

This is your time—no rushing, no distractions. Just space for deep healing in a supportive, safe environment.

IS AN INTENSIVE RIGHT FOR YOU?

An Intensive might be the right fit if:

  • Weekly therapy feels too slow or disjointed
  • You’ve experienced a trauma that you want to process and move through quickly
  • You want to work deeply without the interruption of daily life
  • You’re motivated to experience meaningful change now
  • You’re facing a specific life event or emotional pattern that you’re ready to resolve

Who should not be treated in an Intensive format?

  • If you’re currently chemically addicted.
  • If you’ve attempted suicide in the past year.
  • If you’ve been diagnosed with a dissociative identity disorder.
  • If your therapist determines that you’re not suitable for an Intensive.
  • If your schedule doesn’t allow you to take off a few days after the Intensive—you will need downtime to continue processing. So it’s important to refrain from work for at least a few days to regroup and recalibrate. Put yourself first. Work can wait.
